Hygiene Prize

Every two years, the Rudolf Schülke Foundation presents the Hygiene Prize to scientists who have solved specific problems in the areas of hygiene, microbiology and preventative medicine.

Until 1982 the name of the prize was "Schülke Prize". For the announcement of the year 1984 it was renamed in „Hygiene Prize of the Rudolf Schülke Foundation“ and is worth € 15,000,-.

Since 1976 a total of 34 individual applicants or work groups have received this prize.
